THE BATTLE FRONT

"Cesi, move to the front line!", was the order barked to me by L. C. Clark Quay. I moved without thought, swift motioning towards the front line. It was a long one. Kept on guard, I clutched my gun under my arm, securing it yet raining on guard. Two trenches more and I'm at the front, and as sudden yell echoed through our side of the battlefield, "EVERYBODY DOWN!". I dropped without a second thought crawling into the nearest trench My heart, racing as life flashed before my eyes. A word of prayer slipped from my tongue: O Lord, be my shield on this battlefield. Let my journey to the front be a safe one. Father, as you would have me move ahead,guise my every step in Jesus' name, Amen. As I was down there, 4 hours passed. Strategies were calculted and hopeful words were wished all-round. My stillness in that moment did not mean stuck, it meant a moment to reflect and restrategize. All along I knew it. I felt the nudge, so strong that they needed me at the front. But my only worry remained: I was a little bit under armed. But I remembered that God was my Provider; my Jireh. And with that I proceeded when a cry of "ALL CLEAR! ", resounded in the tunnels
